Key Features
- Trade-ready supply - we work with collision shops, dealers and reseller warehouses as automotive parts suppliers, so every lamp is packed and labelled for stock handling rather than showroom display.
- Direct left-side fit - the housing follows the original bumper mounting points and the connector matches the car's 12 V fog-lamp plug, so a technician swaps the unit instead of adapting brackets or wiring.
- Clean white output - a 6000K color temperature and 6500 lm output give a crisp Natural White beam rather than the yellow, washed-out look of an aged original lamp.
- Stock-friendly part - left front fog lamps are among the replacement car parts a Model S front-corner repair usually calls for, so a unit on the shelf turns a two-day wait into a same-day job.
- Primer-finish housing - the unit is supplied unpainted in primer, so your painter can match it to the car's color instead of working around a pre-painted finish.

Fitment & OE Reference
- Start with the number on the failed unit. The lamp is built to OE 6005916-00-E and 6005915-00-E, and matching that number on a 2012-2021 Model S is the quickest way to be certain you are ordering the right unit.
- Confirm the side. A left-hand lamp fitted to a right-hand corner is the most common ordering mistake, so check the car first; if both corners were damaged, add the right-hand unit as a separate line.
- Check the market version. US-spec and European-spec Model S cars take different fog lamps, so confirm which one the vehicle is before the order is built.
- Send the VIN, or a photo of the old lamp, if anything is unclear. The model number 6160401017 / 6160401018 on the unit ties back to our check, and we verify number, side and version against the vehicle before dispatch.
Applications
- Collision and insurance repair - the usual job is a front-corner impact that cracks the lens or splits the housing, where the estimator wants the number on the original matched before the car goes on the frame rack.
- Fogging and water ingress - once a lamp takes a stone hit, condensation builds behind the lens and the beam turns patchy; fitting a complete sealed unit is quicker than drying and resealing the original.
- Dealer and trade-in reconditioning - used-car departments bring a 2012-2021 Model S back to forecourt standard with this lamp instead of waiting on a dealer-network part.
- Reseller stock - shops that buy auto parts wholesale for stock keep a left-hand unit on the shelf so a repeat repair is never held up by ordering.
- Combined parts orders - if you are already ordering other car parts and accessories for the same car, the lamp can travel on the same order and is packed on its own so nothing presses against the lens.
Material & Build
The housing is molded in PP, the same class of plastic used on the original bumper-mounted lamp, and it is finished in primer so it can be painted to the car's color. A clear outer lens seals over a chrome reflector bowl, an amber side reflector is embedded in the lens, and the screw points for the mounting bracket are formed into the housing itself. A short wiring lead and connector come out of the back, so the unit plugs into the car's existing fog-lamp circuit.
The aftermarket auto parts we ship are inspected before boxing - this lamp is checked for lens cracks, a clean reflector and connector condition, and units that fail the check do not leave the warehouse. Because the finish is primer rather than paint, factor the paint stage in as part of the repair plan: the lamp is complete and functional as supplied, but it is not a color-matched part out of the box.
